This is the blog for a little restaurant that will open in Union Square, Somerville, MA, in early summer 2010 (we hope!).
We will be serving smart, seasonal food from local farmers and artisans, paired with interesting, lesser known, and well-made wines.
Soon, we’ll be adding reservations and announcements for our test dinners to this site, but for now, we hope you’ll come by to follow us as we get off the ground – and check out our nifty progresso-metric timeline!
Welcome to the neighborhood!
First, let me introduce myself: I live in Union Square and work as the Communications Manager for the Green Restaurant Association. The GRA is a national non-profit organization that was founded 20 years ago (in 1990) to help restaurants reduce their environmental impact.
A foodie friend of mine forwarded me your blog and after noticing the heavy emphasis on local food, I figured you might also be interested in earning the GRA’s certification.
The GRA is a national organization, but we’re based here in Boston. We work with small coffee shops, fine dining establishments, corporate cafes, and more. Our clients range from Mario Batali to Microsoft, to Boston’s own Michael Leviton.
If you’d like more info on our Certification program I’d be happy to pass you on to my colleague, Kate McGovern who can explain the process to you. Her email is kate.mecgovern@dinegreen.com.
Looking forward to checking out the restaurant this spring!
All the best,
Colleen Oteri
